Color Correct?
My monitor needs to be changed. Here is a color correct of the 2 paintings I did. The right side is the closest to the actual painting. Left one is the initial taken from my camera.

Thanksgiving painting festival
The past long weekend was the Painting festival in Mascouche. I won an honourable mention on the drawing 'Karl' in charcoal. I am very surprised that I won. There was a lot of really good artists and their works. I also participated on an onsite symposium where I did a portrait of Karl and figure of him from photos.
This is Jean Guy Carier, one of the instructors for watercolor. We put the 2 painting up for publicity for course in 'basic drawing' and 'figure drawing'.
This is Claude De Lorimier (right). This is the second year she is present at the festival. This is also second time we bought a painting from her. :)
Claude working away with her artworks in the background. The one I bought is the one behind the canvas (beside the 4 small ones). Her work is breath taking...

By the Brook - after W.A.Bouguereau
Finally. This painting has been in storage at my brothers house for the last 10 years. I did this painting as a study. With digital photos and internet, I have resources to really great references and I think I will continue working on it. William Bouguerau is one of my favorite artists of all time. His attention to detail and color is just out of this world.

painting festival mascouche
Its that time of year again. Every year I participate the painting festival in Mascouche, Quebec. This year I will be hanging up a couple of figure drawings, landscapes and a portrait of Mike Hussar. He is one of many artists that inspires me. This is his site. http://www.michaelhussar.biz/
Like every year there will be around 150 artists displaying their works over the Thanksgiving long weekend. Amateurs, semi professional and professional cagetory. I am on the semi-pro category.
I also will be doing some painting or drawing on site over there. It should be fun. It would be my first time working in public. Actually it going to be nerve wrecking I think...
