Festival 2007

It was a great edition of the Festival this year. As usual, talent is everywhere. Denis Jacques was the invited artist and his works are exceptional. Well executed works are a signature. It really cool to see original works of a great artist up close. Just like walking into a Museum. Very inspiring. I bought Denis' DVD and he was very nice to autograph it for me. I also bought a work of art by a fellow artist named Guy Hamel. He was the 1st prize winner of last year. I will post it when I have a picture of it.

A day of painting in Mascouche

It was a day of painting at the family day festival in Mascouche. I was painting at the Festival Peinture a Mascouche under a tree. We had great weather. I did 2 paintings. One of my daughter (above) and my first plein air painting (below). I really enjoyed the time I had over there.

Kids were invited to paint on giant canvases or their individual masterpieces.

My spot under the tree. My first time using my sketchbox easel.

Hybride Rink

This is too cool! An ice rink at the back of Hybride Studio. I can go skate or play ice hockey at lunch time which is the only exercise I am getting right now. Somebody discovered a little pond just a stone throw's away from Hybride's parking lot.
