Demo - one day atelier on oil portrait
This is a demo I gave a couple of weekends ago for a one day atelier. The first one is done in class and I later did another sitting to do the shirt. It was the first time I have given a class in oil portrait painting. There is so much to cover and so little time. I hope everybody got something out of workshop. Next atelier I will give is doing a study from a master. Stay tune...

Anne - final?
Portrait of Anne Hathaway, pastel on Canson board 15x19.5 inches. I haven't decided if I am going to finish the shoulders completely or not. I will sleep on it. ;)

Anne - wip 2
I did the other eye and the nose. Still a long way to go. I think her mouth might be to low or the nose might be too long. I have recheck the ref. What's cool with dry pastels is that its low maintenance. Just like drawing I can drop the pastels and leave. No cleaning palettes and brushes...Yawn...gonna go to bed. G'night...Zzzz
