the Hunger Games

Yesterday was the opening of The Hunger Games which is an adaptation from a bestselling novel by Suzanne Collins. Hybride did (I think) over 200 shots of vfx.

Spy Kids 4 is out

The latest installment of spykids is out. We went to see it with the kids and they loved it! It is good ol family entertainment. Hybride did a lot of VFX on the movie...about 1114 shots or over 60+ minutes of the movies!

2 movies I worked on coming soon

These are the 2 films I worked on recently. I did animation on both films. 'Final Destination' is the 4th installation from the series. Rest in pieces... lol. very catchy. The other one is 'Shorts' from director Robert Rodriguez. Its a kids oriented kinda film. I had a blast animating in this film.

Jump test animation and breakdown exercise

This is a jump test animation done in Maya. I did the blocking, converted it to spline and flatten some keys on the feet. Not bad but there are still some posing and timing corrections I have to do like the anticipation of the first step or hop (too dry), twist on the body through out the animation, etc.
